10 Reasons Why The World Won't End

I'm going to list out 10 reasons why the world won't end on 21/12/2012 (it's today as I'm typing this now. Out of this 10 reasons, there is a possibility that all of them are true

1. The Mayan ran out of ink to write their calendar. It is understandable that back in those days when they were writing their calendar, the ink ran out. Back in those days, there were no refill ink for pens

2. Jay Sean says so.

3. Swedish House Mafia's concert is on 18th of January 2013. So I made a phone call to God and ask him to postpone the apocalypse.

4. Rosmah's biography is not out yet. Hopefully she'll explain this

5. I'm still on my school holiday. There's no way on Earth I'm going to let this bitches end the world when I still have 12 days of holiday.

6. My mum has not give me my weekly allowance yet. RM25 is a lot okay.

7. I have not seen Santa Claus climbing down a chimney. I somehow imagine he would get stuck though.

8. I have not bought my first house and car yet.

9. My room is still not clean up. Maybe when my room is tidy and neat, it will be a sign of the end of the world. Just maybe.

10. My ice cream tub expires on 12/08/2013. Ice creams are never wrong

I'll give you one reason why at some point the end of the world seems like a possibility.

1. Because humans are idiots.

The MOST IMPORTANT Subject EVER - Pendidikan Moral

The government introduced this awesome subject not because the Muslim students have to sit a compulsory paper (Pendidikan Islam). Not because the government is too stupid to think of a better subject. Not because they have to balance it. But because they know what we need, and we need Moral.

We all know that Pendidikan Moral is a compulsory subject to take for SPM, and we all know that it has 36  extremely good nilai that you have to memorised word for word.

It is so important that we do memorised word for word as, if you accidentally forgotten a word, the whole point of studying the subject is GONE. Like there's no use of studying the subject if you forgotten one word.

So let me tell you why this subject is the MOST important compared to the rest of the the subjects.

Say an old woman approached to you and asked for directions, you happily helped her. Why did you do it? It's because you learnt nilai - Kasih Sayang, Bertanggungjawab etc. It is because you menghayati each and every word of the definition, therefore you helped.

What if we did not learn Pendidikan Moral? Poor old woman couldn't have found her way because you would be too busy calculating the speed, distance and time she would take to arrive her destination. And you would not be human enough to help her. Because our parents never ever taught us manners. Never once in our life we have been taught to help elderly.

And because of Pendidikan Moral, one day when I grow up, I'll contribute to my country. I'll work my butt off and pay tax to help develop the nation while 80% of people in Malaysia don't pay tax. It's okay because I learnt 'Rational' and 'Cinta Akan Negara' in my Pendidikan Moral. Which means I have to think about the others and I will always put my country ahead of myself. Not because that the government will chase me down if I don't pay them, it is because of Pendidikan Moral.

Because of Pendidikan Moral, I will never ever take bribe in the future. The nilai 'Keadilan' and 'Bertanggungjawab' tells me not to. It is not because that I have read enough of articles about bribery in my life to know that bribery is bad for the nation. NO, it will be useless if I never learn the most important subject in the world, Pendidikan Moral. AND you wanna know why the politicians in our country are so corrupted? Because during their time, Pendidikan Moral was not a compulsory subject in SPM.

I've been on this planet Earth for 18 years. And learning Pendidikan Moral has been the best thing that ever happened to me. With this subject, I've learn not to cheat in life, to love the government, to say no to drugs and smoking and so much more.

So how much have this subject helped you in your life? MORE THAN ANY OTHER SUBJECTS YOU HAVE EVER LEARN. PERIOD.

They think, you think. Comparison and comparing

We teenagers are part of a maturing and growing up process where our emotions are rather unstable which means we get frustrated easily over the smallest thing. And why does this happen? Because growing means growing in ego as well. We don't want to be at the wrong. We hate it in fact.

One of the main things we all hate is comparison and being compared to. Say for example your parents compare you with your cousin in terms of academics. You would feel extremely annoyed because your defence would be both of you are two different individuals. That's what you see. But from your parents point of view, they have been raising you since you were a kid so they saw and still do see the potential in you that you overlooked

You don't spend a second to think that they may be right but instead you start answering back and even worse you would scold them for having a vision of how they want their own child to be. Unfair, no? What if you were in their shoes? When you have a kid in the future, wouldn't you want what's best for them either?

Though, I got to admit at times the comparison is too far fetched. Because we can't compare a Ferrari with a Kancil. Certain comparison is unfair, but we gotta always strive for improvement. They might compare you to Mark Zuckerberg but you know you have the slimmest chances the world to be like him let alone half of the man he is. But there are things which you could take out from him and make yourself a better person.

Being a teenager I know how it feels, but you will reach to a point where you really matured and you would see things differently that your parents were right most of the time. While we think that our parents only do comparison because they want to show us how lousy or useless we are compared to whatever we are being compared to. But no, their intentions are always wanting us to be better. Not to be who you are compared to, but to be better.

You probably don't realised that your parents' pushing has been really helpful in your life. They moulded you and made you a better person. One day you will realised it. They say it's better late than never. I would say if you could do it now, why wait for later?

"it's never too late". I beg to differ, I'm afraid there is too late. Nothing last forever, which means whatever you have today, you might not have it tomorrow. Don't be too late to cherish what you have today.

This post may not be applicable to everyone as we are all raised differently. But if you could relate to those, let me know what you think :)

Til my next post, have a great day people.

Racism. Who do we blame?

55 years of Independence is just around the corner and til today we have racists around. We might say that every country in this world have racism, it's just the matter of how severe it is. 13th May 1969, darkest day in Malaysia history, we have moved on since that event where racism was at its lowest. But question is how much have we moved on?

As we look at our history, the Malays were farmers and the Indians were rubber tappers at the estates while the Chinese are in the towns working as miners or businessman. There was not much interaction between the 3 largest group. While today, everyone regardless race are staying together. You could be a Malay and having a Chinese neighbour on your left and an Indian family on your right.

Most of us hate racism and would openly condemn racism on your Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc. But you would disagree if Chinese and Indians are given more places in the local university. And if you're a Chinese, you would always complain that the Malays are lazy. If you have done this, you're guilty as charged. You are no different from those who openly condone racism.

Now who do we blame? Our parents? The biggest influence in our life are our parents. Like it your not, we are all reflection and image of our parents. If your parents always would talk about how superior their own race and to play down any other races, most likely you would to. But who could blame them? Remember, your grandparents are born before Merdeka and they were separated. Whilst most of our parents were born near 13th May incident where racism was at its worst.

Is our education system is to be faulted? Yes partially. School is the place where little kids will be nultured and the best place to plant all the right attitude into one to ensure he or she does not grow up to be a racist. We must scrap vernacular schools. Of course I can't see how that is going to happen as the government and opposition are more interested to keep their political interest to win power.

Here's my reasoning to why it should be scrapped. Imagine if you go through your whole primary school life in a Chinese medium school or say you do actually go. How many Malays and Indians are around you? As a young kid you could not care less whether one is a Chinese, a Malay or an Indian, therefore that's the time you will truly embrace the cultural difference and have mutual respect.

Another major problem we have is our country's politic. While Dato Seri Najib Razak has called not to use religion or race for politic gains, Utusan contradicts him and came out with a headline on the front page saying that "HARAM SOKONG DAP". It labelled DAP as 'Kafir Harbi' which mean the party is against Islam. We have 1Malaysia but nobody really embrace the true meaning of 1Malaysia. Instead it's being used as a marketing and political tool where Najib does handouts and uses the name 1Malaysia.

And we have a Deputy Prime Minister who stubbornly claims he's a Malay Malaysian when the fact is we are a Malaysian first before our race. If we put our race ahead of nationality, what's the point of having a country? Does the people from overseas refer you as a Malay, Malay Malaysian, Malaysian or Malaysian Malay? You will get the answer once you ask yourself, though I'm not too sure if the deputy prime minister will.

And now, we have one finger pointing at everyone and four fingers pointing back at us. So yes, the most major problem lies within us. Don't be a typical Malaysian where you put the blame on everyone else but yourself. Remember, everything is a choice,

  • It is your choice to be a racist or not.
  • It is your choice to condemn other race.
  • It is your choice to tune back your mentality from a 'taksub' towards your race mentality to a mentality where we believe no race is in any way more superior than others.
The choice is in your hands, make the right one. And if you made the wrong one, don't blame anyone else but yourself. Always remember that God is fair and he does not see your skin colour but he sees what's inside of you. As for an atheist like me, I have my own life principles which I hold on to.

I am a TEENAGER. A confused teenager.

I am a TEENAGER. A confused teenager.
I want the world to care. But I don't want the world to care at the same time
I want the world to know. But I don't want the world to know I am seeking for attention
I want to be loved. But I never appreciate being loved.
I want my parents to understand . But I never understand them either.
I want my life to be perfect. But I know perfect does not exist.
I want my life to be simple. But I know simple does not exist either.
I want my life to be problem-free. But I problems always look for .
I want to run away from my life. But I know it does not solve anything.
I want to jump. But I don't want to fall.
I want to win. But I don't want to lose.
I think my parents hate us. But in fact, they love me more than themselves.
I think I'm right all the time. But so do my parents and everyone else.
I think I'm never wrong. But I'm wrong, it's my ego telling me I'm never wrong.
I think the world is always against me. But it's the other way around actually.
I think too much. But never the positive ones.

Smile not because I have to but smile because I want to.
Smile because the world does not care if I'm frown
Smile because I'm strong enough to say "I'm fine"
Smile because things can only get better.
And smile because that's what I do best. :)

Teen, a stage where our mind is constantly at a battlefield, having conflicts all the time and just so confusing. But hey, it's the time where it shape us and mold us into a stronger and better person for the future. Always look up because who knows you might get to see a rainbow. So take a moment and reflect on all this. Have you done any of this? If you have done at least 12/15, you're a normal teenager.

And being normal does not make you bad. It makes you... normal :) have a nice day.

Parents..

As much as I love my parents, I sometimes find them exaggerating and making a big deal out of the smallest of things. Kinda remind me about girls as well. Oops.

Well, I used to be a student. And they always say.

1.Sleep early.
2.Go study.
3.Stop going facebook so much
4.Don't always go out with your friends
5.Mop the floor
6.You think money drop from the sky?
7.Clean your room
8.Go study.
9.Go study
10.Go study
11.Go exercise
12.Stop eating in front of the computer and the TV
13. Do the robot dance.

Well, they say 'go study' alot, so I just had to put extras there. And they never say 'do the robot dance' in case if you were wondering. It looks cooler if I put.

And now, I'm 18, jobless, education-less, life-less,pant-less, less-bian. They will say.

1.Sleep early
2.Why wake up so late?
3.Go get a job
4.Don't always go out with your friends
5.Mop the floor
6.Go find your own money
7.Clean your room
8.Go get a job
9.Go get a job.
10. Go get a job.
11.Go exercise
12.Stop hiding in your room
13.Do the monkey dance.

Can you spot the difference? Yeah, not much.

You see, this is a game. They are the game-maker and you are the player. Actually, they are the baby-maker and you are the baby. They set the rules and laws, you follow them. You break it, you are grounded, and you will receive music to your ears.

You can never win your parents, I tell you! NEVER.... Okay maybe sometimes alright. Because to them, you are always wrong even if you are right. So why not, instead of making things worse, just shut the fuck up and be a good kid.

As much as I want to rant, which I actually don't, you do have to realized they are the one who taught you values in life. What would you be without them? I'll tell you, you wouldn't even be born! They might get up to your nerves at times, but aren't we the same thing? We are no angel, our parents definitely trying hard to understand us as hard as we are trying to understand them. At the end of the day, they want you to be successful in life in every possible way. And if it's possible, they don't want you to be like them. THEY WANT YOU TO BE BETTER. So stop complaining and start appreciating their complains. Cause one day, you might be missing it.

Spend your Valentine's Day with them if they are not spending it together because true love, comes from family within.
